The 2008 Irish Open will take place between 15th - 18th May, again at the spectacular championship course at Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Club. Last year Padraig Harrington became the first Irish winner of the Irish Open for 25 years so this year everyone is looking forward to Padraig returning to defend his Title.
In order to encourage awareness of this magnificent event being held on our doorstep, Shannon Development, in conjunction with the Irish Open Committee at Adare Manor, is delighted to announce the Primary School Colouring Competition. This competition is open to all Limerick City and County Primary School Children.
The attached sketch must be coloured using crayon or colouring pencil. The sketch can be copied to facilitate the number of entrants from your school and it can also be downloaded from our web page detailed below.
The categories and prizes this year are as follows:-
3 Categories: 3 Prizes
Junior (Juniors Seniors & 1st) €100 Gift Voucher
Intermediate (2nd 3rd & 4th) €100 Gift Voucher
Senior (5th and 6th) €100 Gift Voucher
In addition, and perhaps of more significance to your school, each school participating in the Competition will qualify for a draw where some further €100 Vouchers will be up for grabs!
The closing date for receipt of entries to this office is Friday 9th May. A judging panel will then select the winners. Please ensure that each child’s details are complete on the back of each entry. The Winners will be posted at the Shannon Development Irish Open Stand at the Competition and each of the winning schools will be contacted by 15th May with details regarding receipt of prizes.
