Welcoming today’s announcement (Tuesday 27th July 2010) by Batt O’Keeffe TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation on the EU decision to allow firms in mid-west to attract up to 10pc grant aid, Shannon Development Assistant Chief Executive, John King , said:
“Today’s announcement by Minister O’Keeffe around the EU decision to enable investment by Irish companies to be grant assisted in mid-west is a much welcome boost for regional development, and something which Shannon Development greatly welcomes. Now that grant aid for large firms in Limerick , Clare and North Tipperary will be allowed under European Commission rules, this will make the mid-west a more attractive location for inward investment.
