ROSES IN FULL BLOOM AT BIRR CASTLE
The Roses of Tralee recently paid a welcome visit Birr Castle Demesne in Co. Offaly. Welcoming the Roses, Bernie Leonard, Shannon Development Tourism Officer for Offaly and Tipperary said:
"Festivals and events are powerful ways to boost tourism figures and increase revenue to an area. As the Shannon Region tourism authority, Shannon Development is delighted to be associated with the Roses again this year and to welcome them back to Birr and the Shannon Region.
We recognise the value of such events and continually work to grow more festivals in Offaly and Tipperary and throughout the Shannon Region. This week we have two quality events taking place locally, the Birr Arts and Vintage Week and the Terryglass Arts Festival."
