Tourists to be offered the ‘Bond’ treatment in the Shannon Region
Visitors to the Shannon Region are being offered a chance to become an action hero or heroine as part of a novel tourism promotion being undertaken by Shannon Development. Exciting ‘Bond’ Breaks in hotels throughout the Shannon Region are on offer for the months of October and November! As part of the action packed holiday experience visitors can choose from a range of themed breaks included in these are; cruising, mountain biking, surfing, and pamper breaks.
“Short break offers, niche marketing, and value for money will be key in attracting additional domestic visitors to the Shannon Region. This is why Shannon Development has come up with the new ‘Bond’ themed holiday package to generate increased domestic visitor numbers and revenue,” says Pat Daly, Tourism Marketing Manager, Shannon Development.
These special short break ‘Bond’ holidays are being sold on-line through Shannon Development’s short breaks website www.ShortBreaksIreland.ie Speaking about the new iniative Aisling McMahon, Tourism Marketing Executive, Shannon Development said, “This campaign is targeted at the home holiday market which is one of the Shannon Region’s most important tourism markets, yielding over €138 million in visitor spend last year for the Region, a 15% increase over 2006 figures. We want to ensure that this growth continues. The Shannon Region counties of Clare, Limerick, South Offaly and North Tipperary have a diverse range of scenery and actitivies and we are confident that the ‘bond’ package has something to please everyone.”
