Shannon Development in association with Ryanair hosted a travel media group from Poland as part of Shannon Development's promotion of the new Lodz air service to Shannon International Airport. Between them the publications and the TV station have a reach of over 2 million potential holidaymakers.
During their trip the group visited Peter Ward's Country Choice delicatessen and coffee bar in Nenagh to learn about Irish cuisine. They also enjoyed a tour of Fairymount Farm in Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary from Linda and John Kenny. They enjoyed a visit to Birr Castle, and stayed at the newly refurbished County Arms Hotel in Birr. They were taken on a short cruise at Banagher from Brendan Smyth of Silver Line Cruisers, and they enjoyed a traditional Irish music session at the Thatch pub and restaurant in Crinkle, Co. Offaly.
